RESEARCH PROFILE
I am an ichthyologist with a FELASA certificate (A–D), exploring the hidden world ofmicrobes in marine fish species. With a Master degree in Sustainable Management ofAquatic Environments and a PhD focused on fish gut microbiomes, I study howenvironmental and host-related factors shape microbial communities—and how thisknowledge can support sustainable, safe, and nutritious food systems.
Skilled in bioinformatics and downstream analysis of microbiome datasets, I havecontributed to four Greek and European research projects, authored 18 peer-reviewed publications, and received awards for my work at international conferences and workshops.
